This presentation will focus on identifying both the fiscal opportunities and challenges faced by local health departments as they navigate the changing health and health care environment in their communities being created by the Affordable Care Act. Practical examples and strategies used to address these opportunities and challenges from local health departments in a variety of settings will be discussed.
