251052 Affordable Care Act and MCH programs

This session will provide a forum to discuss the impact of the Affordable Care Act on maternal and child health programs, such as home visiting, infant mortality reduction, teen pregnancy prevention and reduction of childhood obesity. The Affordable Care Act will increase access to services but will not eliminate the need for quality assurance and coordination of care, two major activities of the MCH Block Grant.
