Implementation of health reform measures will require planning and changes for an adequate public health workforce. This includes re-tooling current public health professionals to take on new responsibilities and strengthening collaborations with community health workers. Initiatives aimed at workforce development are also being re-tooled to meet this need. This session will discuss the skill sets the public health workforce will need to meet the new challenges that lie ahead for the public health infrastructure will be explored.
