252418 Ryan White HIV/AIDS programs and the ACA

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) into law. The law has a number of provisions that have been implemented or will be implemented by 2014 that will impact persons living with HIV (PLWH) in the United States that currently receive services under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. This presentation will describe how the ACA will affect PLWH and how existing public health programs, in particular the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Programs, can evolve in concert with this new legislation to maximize services and meet the broad spectrum of needs of PLWH.
