The Affordablce Care Act and constrained public financing create both threats and opportunities for public health programs. The public health community is challenged to provide leadership in developing cross-sector partnerships that will promote prevention and wellness in this shifting environment.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have almost 30 years of experience in health, community services, and public health service delivery systems in the Boston area. I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Univ of Mass. College of Community and Public Service and a MPH from Boston University. Much of my 12 years with the Boston Public Health Commission has been working on health access issues. In my current capacity I oversee the Environmental Health, Healthy Homes and Community Supports, Chronic Disease Prevention and Control and Civic Engagement and Advocacy Divisions.
