Friday, June 24, 2011: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Oral
Clinical preventive services are a critical part of the health care delivery process and have the potential to reduce the incidence and prevalence of many debilitating diseases and conditions. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) supports the expansion of clinical preventive services to all populations as well as additional funds to the Clinical Services Preventive Task Force to continue to establish evidence-based guidelines to expand coverage of approved clinical preventive services. This session highlights initiatives designed to connect clinical prevention programs operated by community based organizations, community health centers, public health departments and hospitals.
