Reactive chemicals and the general duty clause of the clean air act

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers certain reactive chemicals to be subject to the General Duty Clause (GDC) requirements of section 112(r)(1) of the Clean Air Act. This presentation will provide the background of the GDC (including legislative and enforcement history), guidance for facilities to comply with the requirements, and information regarding EPA's approach to inspecting facilities for compliance with the GDC.
