World Conference Against Racism: Connections and Directions

This session will be a report-back from members of the public health community who attend the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance in Durban, South Africa from 31 August through 7 September, 2001. We will describe what we have learned by viewing the US experience of racism in an international context. We will also present any declarations emanating from the World Conference and describe implications for action within the United States.
