The Chiropractic Health Care Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA-CHC) invites abstracts for presentation at the 2002 Annual Meeting to be held in Philadelphia, PA, November 9-13, 2002. Topics related to this year's theme, "Putting the Public back into Public Health", and in all areas related to chiropractic health care will receive high priority. Other topics of interest include: Enhancing the provision of preventive services in primary contact and primary care practice Public health practices by practicing clinicians Integrative health care: Best practices for cross-disciplinary and coordinated care Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to practice Chiropractic in the changing health care environment Complementary and Alternative Care for selected indications and populations Aging and geriatric health Women’s health Children’s health Minority health Underserved populations Public health implications of musculoskeletal conditions Back pain Neck pain Headache Injury Occupational health Ergonomics Teaching public health to health professions students and practicing clinicians This Call for Abstracts for the APHA-CHC scientific sessions requests papers that present: Original empirical work (e.g. scientific studies, program evaluations, or organizational case studies), or noteworthy advances in methodology or analysis Innovative integrative scholarship and scientific work Programmatic reports of significant research infrastructure developments Programmatic reports of health professions curriculum developments or educational research Structured substantive policy analyses (e.g. systems-wide assessments or policy case-studies) Informative reports on program or project management and development Other similarly noteworthy, innovative, or informative reports and studies
