Submit Abstract

The section invites abstracts on topics that focus on innovative practice and research highlighting this year's theme "Puttting the Public Back Into Public Health". The section encourages abstracts for poster sessions, as well as for presentation in scientific sessions. Students and new professionals are encouraged to submit abstracts. One session will be devoted specifically to student posters. The social work section asks that presenters specifically address the implications for social work practice and education involving the public in Public Health within a global perspective. The abstract must include at least three specific learning objectives that focus on public health social work to be submitted with the abstract for each presentation. Below are suggested topics, however, additional topic areas that discuss public health social work will also be considered

  • Networking With The Community To Promote Social Work Public Health Programs
  • Political Advocacy Of The Disadvantage
  • Public Health Social Work Issues In A Rural Community Setting
  • Role Of The Public Health Social Worker In The Era Of Bioterrorism
  • The Impact Of The Criminal Justice System On Public Health
  • The Role And Functions Of The Public Health Social Work Students
  • The Role Of The Social Worker In Eliminating Health Disparities
