Learning Objectives:
- 1). Types of barriers encountered by transpeople in accessing routine health care and transgender care, and strategies for overcoming them.
- 2).How successful access of transgender care is a critical component of the general Harm Reduction model for transgendered people, lowering their risks with regard to HIV infection, substance abuse, depression, suicidal ideation, and unsafe sexual behaviors.
