Terrorism and Public Health (Session Abstract)

In this session, five speakers will discuss current issues pertaining to terrorism and public health, including such topics as the public health response to the September 11, 2001, sttacks; ways of improving the public health and medical care systems in the United States in light of these attacks; relevant issues pertaining to human rights and social justice; biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons and their control; and roles of public health professionals and public health students in helping to respond to terrorist attacks and to the threat of terrorism.
