Abstract #42707
Transgender/Transsexual Health Activists Discuss the Future
Learning Objectives: This is a part of the "TransHealth Roundtable" group being coordinated by Ben Singer.
Jordan Asia Blaza, Panel Member
Issues/perspective to present
1. The importance of providing clients information on all their options regarding Transgender Health instead of giving them directives. (What type of messages are we sending our clients?)
2. Addressing the client’s life issues which outweigh their need for HIV/AIDS prevention services.
3. Providing culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate HIV/AIDS prevention services to Transgender People of Color.
