This paper will present research findings from studies of children and non-elderly adults who are low-income or disabled Medicaid enrollees. This multi-state research endeavor includes all fee-for-service health care use and expenditures for selected amublatory care sensitive conditions. The analyses controlled for age, gender, race/ethnicity, and reason for enrollment in Medicaid.

Learning Objectives: The session participants will

• Gain a better understanding of potential disparities in health care access and use among low-income minority populations enrolled in Medicaid
• Learn about research findings that show race/ethnicity diffierences in use of selected health care services.
