An overview of current research in the area of women's health and aging with developmental disabilities, including key findings from a qualitative research project on health and aging perceptions of women with developmental disabilities. Themes covered will include: understanding of general aging and women's health by women with developmental disabilities, health promotion, mental health, health care services, perceptions of disabiity and research methods with this population of women.

Learning Objectives:

• Gain overview of current research issues in women's health and aging with developmental disabilities.
• Describe health and aging concerns of women with developmental disabilities.
• Discuss current trends to improve practices in health care for women with developmental disabilities.
