The Community Health Education Department of The Chester County Hospital is responsible for planning and coordinating preventive health education and wellness programs and services for the community it serves. Working cooperatively with key community and professional organizations and groups, this Department identifies specific health needs and interests of the community it serves and plans appropriate preventive health education programs. This Department's outreach is accomplished by working with local school districts, women's clubs, services clubs, businesses and the community at large.
Since 1993, The Community Health Education Department has been strongly committed to serving as a health resource for the growing needs and challenges of the school community through its School Partnership Program. Through this program, the Hospital has worked with partnering school districts and community-based organizations with the planning and delivery of school-based health education programs and services that help children and youth acquire the necessary awareness, knowledge and behaviors that help them reach their fullest health potential.
This poster display will present the results of the evaluations conducted on the school-based health education programs, activities and the networking services provided by the Hospital through its School Based Partnership Program for the past 3 years.
