A comparative study of effectiveness and efficiency among three models of community mental health system in the Republic of Korea

In Korea, it has been 6 years since our government implemented community mental health program. While it has made much progress in some aspects, some questions were raised. Especially there hase been substantial variation in the local area where local government implemented community mental health program. This can be a barrier to expand comunity mental health program to entire nation. We do the comparrative study of effectiveness and efficinecy of each model and then to establish a leading role model in a state level is the goal of our study. As a first step, a variety of communith mental health programs is classified into three models in th way how to mix the private sector with public sector. Two programs represanting each group is selected. They are assessmented by the indicators mean efficiency and effectiveness, which are confined by Delphi-study. Also is it suplemented by a focus group study. This group includes staffs and psyciatric doctor is involved with that program. Our study is expected to be available for developing the community mental health program in the country which is similar to our contry
