Enhancing health planning through access to web-based professional consultancy resource

The presentation will describe the consultancy services that may be accessed through the website of the American Health Planning Association. AHPA maintains a list of members who have professional experience and expertise in health planning, health regulation including Certificate of Need, and health policy. They are prepared to serve as consultants to the public health community at various levels including the provision of technical assistance through the AHPA Listserv, presentations as speakers and panelists before groups, and contracted engagements. Examples of each will be given with emphasis on how expertise in community health planning tools and methods can enhance the quality of community-based public health initiatives.
