Organizing Experiences of Cook County Hospital Patients and Staff

The presentation will deal with the historical versus the current role of county hospitals, with particular reference to Cook County Hospital, Chicago. Part of this will focus on the how partnerships with medical schools both promote and distort the mission of public hospitals. Dr Piller will talk about actions hospital providers and workers at Cook County Hospital have done to promote healthworker-patient commonality of interest and unity in Maternal/Child Health area, among social workers, and in the pharmacy.
