Policy interventions for API health

This session will focus on continually changing health care policy as it affects Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders. As a heterogeneous population with significant number of immigrants, limited English proficiency and differing health profile, emerging health policy has a disparate impact. The discussion of issues will include: continuing restoration of health and related assistance to immigrants, implementation of culturally and linguistically appropriate policies and programs, and progress in federal initiatives for reducing and eliminating health disparities.
