Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to 1)recognize the STD/HIV risk among women in various situations (including those who seek sexual partners on the Internet, street sex workers, IV drug users and impoverished women); 2) to understand existing racial disparities in women's reproductive health; 3)describe women's perceptions of the violent acts perpetrated against them and how their experiences of violence are related to substance use and HIV risk behaviors; and 4), discuss the procedure for examining the prevalence of STDs in street sex workers. | |||
