Impact of Home Visting Programs: Implications for Policy and Practice
This session will highlight results from recent process and outcome evaluations of home visiting programs. The session will focus on presenting the magnitude of difference home visiting programs can have in reducing adverse outcomes for children and families. Furthermore, the session will explore strategies for effectively capturing measures of program processes and outcomes. The session will conclude with a discussion of the implications of research findings for policy and practice.
Learning Objectives: (1) To disuss process and outcome evaluations of home visiting programs. (2) To examine indicators of processes and outomes that can be used to measure programmatic effects. (3) To discuss the implications of research findings for policy and practice related to home visiting programs and services.
