National and international papers focus on intimate partner or domestic violence (DV). Material includes violence against pregnant women, dating adolescents, and fatal family violence with women and children. The central theme is violence against women by partners augmented by other family violence and harm to children. Topics include endogenous social factors that effect women in a collectivity and argue that these endogenous factors may take precedence over other factors. Inner city Hispanic child health suffers with domestic violence particularly mental and emotional health. Pregnant pregnant women were studied for the incidence and profile of assaults found most assault involves the father of the baby and have certain injury profiles. Maternal death death review and child fatality review are joined to demonstrate parallel themes and the advantage of multidisciplinary teams in counting and assessment of such deaths and the value for prevention, intervention and policy planning. An inclusive intake of female deaths aged 15 - 60 increases the number of potential cases of fatal domestic violence and DV related deaths. A survey of 7,824 girls from 9th to 12th grade notes differences with age including the rate of date violence and the rate of forced sexual intercourse. Original data and literature review is a centerpiece of all studies. Comments address possible intervention and prevention programs. Panel interaction will focus on common themes. Panel interaction will address possible programs for intervention and prevention. | |||
