Outstanding Student Papers in Maternal and Child Health
The purpose of this session is to showcase outstanding work regarding maternal and child health submitted by students in related fields. The session covers a broad range of topics within the field of MCH. This first annual student session for the Maternal and Child Health Section is designed to promote academic contributions and achievement in maternal and child health among graduate students.
Learning Objectives: 1) Identify potential problems with survey design and implementation 2) Identify factors associated with service utilization among women in India with maternal morbidity. 3) Describe ways to improve pregnancy outcomes in second-born twins. 4) Discuss the relationships between Social Development Model constructs and violent behavior at the transition to middle school. 5) Discuss the positive effects of social and community support systems on reducing the likelihood of prenatal depression.
