Learning Objectives: 1. Understand neurodevelopmental and cognitive outcome of children with gestational cocaine exposure. 2. Articulate adverse outcomes of inner-city children, regardless of their history of cocaine exposure. 3. Describe environmental factors (violence) affecting outcome of inner-city children. 4. Define interventions targeted to improve outcome of inner-city children. 5. Identify risk factors for childhood asthma 6. Discuss barriers to initiating community-based research 7. Describe predictors of emergency hospital care for asthma in preschool children. 8. Describe the importance of characteristics in identifying children to target for intervention
