Learning Objectives: 1. Articulate the reasons for the development of the White Ribbon Alliance and describe the development and expansion of the WRA worldwide 2. Identify reasons why parents have been unable to obtain health insurance for uninsured Latino children. 3. Recognize that the parents of uninsured children want better information about programs, eligibility, and the application process, and a more efficient, user-friendly system. 4. List an alternative SCHIP outreach strategy acceptable to parents for insuring uninsured children 5. Develop a better understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. 6. Identify alternative arrangements for parental leave that are more expansive than the federal law. 7. Examine economic and political factors related to state adoption of paid parental leave. | |||
