Prenatal care services and outreach programs
Learning Objectives: 1. Discuss issues related to evaluation of home visitation and doula programs. 2. Discuss strategies used to determine the incremental value of service modalities. 3. Describe potential benefits of providing doula services to high-risk populations receiving case management. 4. Discuss the advantages to introducing telemedicine in a region with a large rural population. 5. Understand the roles of the primary partners in the project. 6. Describe initial results from practioner satisfaction surveys with the telemedicine services 7. Understand the components of a prenatal substance abuse screening program to identify and refer pregnant women who use alcohol. 8. Identify why the 4P's Plus was an effective screening instrument to assess prenatal alcohol use. 9. Determine what some of the factors that motivated prenatal care providers to screen for alcohol during pregnancy
