Contemporary society has a multitude of potential health risks, from toxic releases to problematic housing. Many of these risks are poorly understood or in the beginning phases of being fully characterized. This session contains presentations on both domestic and international health problems that are rapidly rising to the top of the environmental health agenda.
Learning Objectives: 1. Provide an understanding of emerging environmental health issues. 2. Assist in placing new health threats in the context of the total social and physical environment. 3. Teach basic background science of emerging issues.
