American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Caucus

Submit Abstract

The American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Caucus invites abstracts for papers that address the theme of the 2003 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting, "Behavior, Lifestyle and Social Determinants of Public Health" and general topics addressing AI/AN/NH populations. The Caucus also invites papers that specifically address the following:
  • Changing Behavioral Patterns
  • Effects of Social Determinants on Native Health
  • Focus on Native Hawaiian Communities, either on the Islands or the Mainland
  • Impacting Health Disparities
  • Influence of Lifestyle on Native Communities
All abstracts must meet the deadline established by APHA and follow the general APHA guidelines for submission. Submissions that do not comply will be returned to sender without review. The Caucus welcomes abstracts from students.

A discussion session by several (no more than five) speakers on a general topic may be coordinated by a single applicant. Each speaker for the discussion session must submit an abstract on his or her individual topic, following the APHA web site's guidelines. Use the "Comments to Organizer" box to convey your request as well as listing the abstract ID numbers for each speaker. Follow up with an email to the Program Planner with a session overview.
