The caucus invites abstracts on research, epidemiological, policy, legislative, advocacy, and service delivery issues pertaining to homelessness and homeless populations. Topics of interest for this year's program include, but are not limited to:
- Design and evaluation of interventions for special populations (e.g., runaway and homeless youth, individuals with substance use disorders)
- Impact of national, state or local policies (e.g., managed care, welfare reform, housing policies) on homelessness and homeless persons
- International responses to homelessness
- Issues related to the design, implementation and effectiveness of health services for homeless persons
- Research priorities and challenges in conducting research with homeless populations, including consumer involvement in research
The caucus encourages the submission of multiple abstracts by different authors on related topics to be presented at a single session. Facilitators of these sessions may also be proposed. In addition, abstracts with student researchers as senior authors are encouraged.
