Ethics Forum

Submit Abstract

The forum invites abstracts and panel discussion proposals on topics concerning ethics and public health, with special focus on this year's theme, "Behavior, Lifestyle, and Social Determinants of Health." Submission of topics related to other areas of ethics and public health are welcome.
A few suggested topics include:Race, Ethnicity and Trust; Guilt, Blame and Ill Health; The Role of Paternalism in Promoting Health; The Social Construction of Lifestyle and Behavior; The Influence of Codes of Ethics on Professional Behavior; Teaching Ethics in Public Health; and Ethics in Research.

In addition to proposals of single abstracts, proposed panels of three to five presentations are welcome. The forum welcomes submissions by students and young professionals. We also welcome proposals for joint sessions with other APHA sections, SPIGS, and caucuses.
