Although we live in a technologically advanced society where communications are superb, often times we do not reach the people who are in need of services. Whether by poor planning or a failure in our communications, many senior citizens are not aware of facilities and services available for their use.

This study examines the need for better communication with aging patients about the services and facilities available for their dental needs. It examines the barriers to effective communications and presents means to overcoming the barriers.
