Employment outcomes of individuals participating in 17 Clubhouses in Massachusetts certified by the International Center for Clubhouse Development (ICCD) were examined through annual surveys administered by the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition (MCC). Major components of employment programs in contemporary Clubhouses are identified and individual employment outcomes are described. Between 1998 - 2001, 1702 individuals worked in 2714 separate job placements, employed in Transitional (TE), Supported (SE) and Independent Employment (IE). Jobs held by members working just one job during the period were relatively equally distributed among the three employment approaches. Forty percent of members with more than one job (N=385) participated in at least one TE job. Individuals who had been members longer tended to work longer and had higher job earnings.
