Program evaluation has been identified as a strategy to enhance the sustainability of Community Health Worker (CHW) programs. In this interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to evaluation techniques and resources relevant for CHW programs.

Intended for Community Health Workers and others interested in CHW programs, the workshop will seek to demystify program evaluation. The reasons to evaluate as well as the how-to’s of conducting an evaluation will be covered. Questions about who, why and how of evaluation will be answered.

A program logic model, a tool useful for program planning and evaluation, will be developed. This will be followed by an exercise to help participants determine the differences between program outputs, outcomes and indicators.

Participants will gain insight into their own programs and knowledge about beginning or continuing evaluation efforts for those programs.
