A Town Hall Meeting on the Impact of Accreditation in Health Education
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
summarize the recommendations of the SOPHE/AAHE Task Force on Accreditation in Health Education, which has just completed its 3-year charge;
discuss pros and cons of these recommendations for strengthening the quality assurance systems for professional preparation, from the respondent panel of health education administrators, professors, practitioners, and employers; and
provide input from their own vantage points via the town hall forum on what is needed to strengthen the health education workforce.
