Impact of genomics on public health in the 21st century

The purpose of this session is to provide a broad overview of the present and likely future accomplishments of the science of genomics and to outline how these accomplishments will impact on public health practice. Specific examples of such impacts will be discussed along with their favorable and unintended outcomes.
