Medicaid and Managed Care: Are They Reaching and Serving the Public's Health Care Needs?
This session will explore the challanges of getting uninsured onto Medicaid, the limitations of Medicaid for specific conditions and the special role of niche hospitals.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to: 1)list five sources of quantifiable information for community health profiling; 2)list criteria in the developoment of quality measures for linguistic services in HMOs;and 3)identity the role of niche hospitals.
