Addressing the Social and Health Needs of Minorities
Posters is this session address the special problems facing low-income minorities in addressing weight and diabetes control, custodial parenting other health issues. Methodologies and community approaches will be pesented.
Learning Objectives: Posters will describe: 1)addressing racism within a health department; 2)the importance of collaboration between legislators, appointed officials, physicians and health policy proessionals; and 3)how to identify areas of services and research needed in low-income minority communities.
