The 2002 Seminal IOM Reports: Response Dialouges Between Academia & Practice
Roundtable Dialogues on the processes and outcomes of the training and education of students & practitioners. Topics include: - student affairs to support teaching faculty in areas of multiculturalism, financial grants management, media & communication, writing,etc. - public health genomics - leadership in public health informatics - public health law and policy
Learning Objectives: 1) Learn about academic/practice partner solutions and perspectives regarding answers to IOM recommendations for the 21st century. 2) Exchange ideas about model programs and innovative strategies to implement in the education and training of students and practitioners. 3) Explain in more detail the practical consequences of emerging educational and training topices, such as genomics, crisis management, grant writing, etc.
