A number of presenters will offer observations, analyses, and conclusions as to the unique nature of the population, difficulties in healthcare workforce recruitment, development, and retention, and two anomolous characteristics and needs in serving the healthcare needs of rural communities. The presentations will offer a continuum of perspectives with respect to rural healthcare problems and needs and the discussion will hopefully result in some innovative ideas as to future studies which may contribute to lowering the barriers which currently exist in gaining access to quality healthcare in rural areas. | |||
