This program will provide a description of the National Laboratory Response Network(LRN), which includes federal, state and local partners from public health, environmental and veterinary centers. Presentations will address the capabilities and capacities of this network and how the LRN supports preparedness and response for biologic and chemical terrorism. Specific examples will be presented to describe how to effectively utilize the network and its resources to support local response and health care management. | |||
Learning Objectives: At the completion of this program, participants will be able to 1. Describe the Laboratory Response Network(LRN), its capabilities and how to access services. 2. Explain the role of local health and first responders in risk assessment and triage. 3. Describe the role of sentinel clinical laboratories. 4.
