The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently embarked on a dynamic, new initiative, Creating the Future of CDC for the 21st Century. This Futures Initiative provides an opportunity for CDC to examine our priorities, our systems, and our practices now to ensure that we remain an effective, proactive public health agency for protecting and improving the health of the American people. During this session leaders from CDC will provide an overview of the Futures Initiative. A panel of experts will provide their insights on the future of public health and CDC. Participants will be invited to ask questions and provide their comments and input into CDC’s process for setting strategic directions. | |||
