This session will provide information about low-cost tools for assessing housing-related health hazards, including asthma triggers. This session would describe the tools developed through the Community Environmental Health Resource Center for identifying conditions in housing that are recognized as potential asthma triggers (e.g., mold and moisture, cockroaches, CO, and dust allergens) and lead hazards. Community health programs conducting home visits could potentially integrate such tools into their assessment processes. This session will focus on practical tools for field application, rather than research protocols.
