Many agencies in HHS have responsibilities to end racial and ethnic disparities in the quality of treatment. These include the National Institutes of Health, the Office of the Secretary of HHS, the Office of Minority Health, the HHS Office of Civil Rights, the Agency for Healthcare Research Quality, the HHS Data Council, the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Health Resources and Services Administration.
The Assistant Secretary for Health (invited) is coordinating these activities and will discuss current initiatives and plans.
