This presentation will give participants an overview on grassroots mobilization on the state and local levels, and why it is important to develop a plan when mobilizing your grassroots to take action on a state/local issue/policy/legislation.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will gain general knowledge of the different components of putting together an advocacy campaign on an issue affecting their state or community (developing an outcome/goal/message, understanding who is for your issue and against, funding, timeline and implementation.
