View from the inside: Helpful strategies to increase advocacy effectiveness on Capitol Hill

This presentation will provide participants with helpful strategies to engage legislative staff on Capitol Hill. Strategies will include how to “tailor” a message, partner with key legislative staff and members, and assist in development and introduction of legislation. In addition, the discussion will include a brief overview of the legislative process and a few “real world” examples of successful advocacy efforts.
