| Current topics in gay and bisexual men's health will be presented, including a description of recent national monitoring of sexual health indicators for gay and bisexual men; an analysis of the impact smoking has on the health of gay men; a discussion of the ways in which alcohol use among gay men can be addressed in health promotion; and an examination of health policy directed towards gay men. | |||
| Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to: •Identify important sexual health indicators for gay and bisexual men. •Describe current trends in the prevalence of STDs and HIV among gay and bisexual men. •Articulate the impact smoking has on the health of gay men. •Discuss the greater health needs for HIV-negative gay men. •Assess the impact of alcohol marketing targeted towards gay men. •Identify ways in which health promotion can be directed towards alcohol using gay men. •Discuss current trends in health policy for gay men. •Articulate ways in which gay men’s health can be addressed in health policy. | |||
