Chiropractic in the Changing Health Care Environment
This session will review the role of chiropractic care provision in meeting the needs of special populations such as elderly, rural or managed care enrollees.
Learning Objectives:
  • Describe older adults’ experiences about chiropractic before and after chiropractic care;
  • Identify usage patterns of chiropractic services in the rural south;
  • Describe the effects of a chiropractic benefit on rates of neuromusculoskeletal complaints in a managed health care plan; and,
  • Contrast pain and disability cost-effectiveness for patients attending chiropractors and medical doctors.
