Issues in Chiropractic Practice and Research
In this session multiple issues affecting the provision and improvement of chiropractic healthcare will be reviewed and discussed.
Learning Objectives:
  • Describe an evaluation process assessing chiropractic students’ skills in history taking;
  • Recognize the need for research related to optimal chiropractic visits for the treatment of acute neck pain;
  • Recognize the prevalence of pain in multiple sclerosis patients in a long-term care setting and the potential role of chiropractic care; and,
  • Describe how a proximal approach can be used to examine processes of change in health and recognize how proximal thinking differs from a distal (traditional) approach.
