Issues in Chiropractic and Public Health Education
This session will review the role of chiropractors in providing public health services, and the role of chiropractic educational institutions in enhancing the research infrastructure.
Learning Objectives:
  • Describe chiropractic procedures consistent with national health promotion priorities and initiatives;
  • Describe public health students’ knowledge about the public health impact of pain;
  • Explore future directions for public health education and wellness concepts in chiropractic colleges;
  • Recognize the challenges of recruitment for a master’s program for clinical research;
  • Recognize the potential need for prerequisites to biostatistical methods courses; and,
  • Describe methods used to evaluate courses and implement curricular changes.
